Isger has been neglected by Cheliax and its own government for decades. A group of idealists and former soldiers, sick of the people bearing the brunt of the authorities’ poor decisions, founded the Hellbreakers League to gather like-minded rebels in hopes of sparking a revolution. They made little traction until the Godsrain, when they managed to locate and obtain a warshard in the town of Breachill.

However, Isger’s steward, Hedvend VI, was alerted to their activity and reported it to Abrogail Thrune. Queen Abrogail II, coveting the warshard and seeking to stamp out rebellion, sent the Order of the Rack to seize Breachill and scour it for her prizes.

The town withered under the subsequent public executions and the Hellknights’ harsh rule. Breachill’s cries for deliverance made it to the nation of Andoran, who sent a contingent of diplomats, including the retired general Reginald Cormoth, to entreat the Hellknights to stop subjugating Breachill’s citizens. The Hellknights responded by executing Reginald.

Outraged by the brutal and unnecessary act of violence, Eagle Knights of the Steel Falcons went to Isger and initiated the Battle of Hellknight Hill, a grueling fight that ended in the Eagle Knights’ victory. The Hellbreakers aided the Eagle Knights, and after the battle, they were promised aid from Andoran in exchange for their warshard.

Now, a small group of young Hellbreakers prepares to help light the spark of rebellion in Isger and face their destiny.
